Arsenal youngster, Max Dowman, has written his name into Premier League history after becoming the youngest player ever to win the English top-flight title following the club’s championship success this season.
The 16-year-old achieved the feat after Arsenal were confirmed champions on Tuesday night when Manchester City dropped points against Bournemouth, handing Mikel Arteta’s side their first league title in 22 years.
Dowman’s latest milestone adds to a growing list of records since his breakthrough into Arsenal’s first team earlier in the campaign. In August 2025, he became the youngest player to feature in Premier League history at 15 years and 235 days.
The midfielder continued his rise in March when he scored in Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over Everton to become the league’s youngest goalscorer at 16 years and 73 days.

Earlier in the season, Dowman had already entered the Champions League record books after making an appearance at 15 years and 308 days, becoming the competition’s youngest player.
The Arsenal academy graduate will also receive a Premier League winners’ medal after meeting the minimum requirement of five league appearances during the title-winning campaign.
By the end of the season, Dowman will be aged 16 years and 144 days, moving past the previous record set by Phil Foden, who won the title with Manchester City in the 2017-18 season at 17 years and 350 days.
Dowman’s emergence has been one of the standout stories of Arsenal’s season, with Arteta gradually introducing him into senior football while maintaining the club’s push for major honours.
All five of the teenager’s Premier League appearances have come from the bench, but his performances have drawn attention for his calmness in possession and ability to influence games despite his age.
Dowman now joins a small group of teenage Premier League winners, including former Arsenal players Nicolas Anelka and Gaël Clichy, as the north London club celebrates a title-winning season built around both experience and youth.
