Gunners face wealthy French giants in opening Champions League qualifying group clash.
ARSENE WENGER has admitted he has rejected three approaches from Paris St.Germain to become their manager.
The Arsenal boss is back at the Parc des Princes for tonight’s opening Champions League clash with the French billionaires.
And he admitted that only his loyalty to Arsenal has prevented him from taking up the lucrative offers from PSG’s Qatari owners.
Wenger said: “I have known Sheikh bin Kalifa for a long time but I always feel I remained loyal to Arsenal because I think it’s a club that has the qualities I love.
“That is why I have stayed in England for all this time.”
PSG made their first approach for Wenger when the Qataris bought the club in 2011 and tried again in 2013 and 2104.
Now Wenger is in the final year of his Arsenal contract and the French Champions are already dreaming of finally getting the veteran Frenchman back across the Channel.
But Wenger refuses to look any further than tonight’s match and has received a timely boost from stand-in skipper Laurent Koscielny.
The French centre-half was rated a doubt for tonight’s Group A opener after suffering a blow to his eye during Saturday’s 2-1 win against Southampton.
But Wenger revealed: “He’s alright. He had a big knock on his face and I was concerned after the game that he wouldn’t be available.
“But he has recovered quite well and he is OK to play.”
