Bale the odd one out in Mbappe move

Reports in Spain claim that Real Madrid may be prepared to allow Gareth Bale to leave the club this summer, as they continue to to try to push through a move for Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe.

Spanish publication ‘Marca’ reports that the Welshman will have to leave if the Bernabeu-based side are to bring in the French youngster. It is claimed that Real boss Zinedine Zidane has concerns that Mbappe is not compatible with the current ‘BBC’ and as such, a player will be forced to leave.

The aforementioned source claims that Zidane told Florentino Perez during the club’s pre-season trip to LA, that he does not want four attackers, meaning that if Mbappe is to join the club, someone must make way.

It then goes on to say that due to Bale’s injury problems, he is the man that will be sacrificed by Real in order to bring in arguably the most talented young striker in world football.

It has been reported that senior officials from both clubs met in July to discuss a potential move for Mbappe, with €190m believed to be Monaco’s valuation of the 18-year-old, though Madrid are hoping that a large amount of that fee will be add-ons.

‘Marca’ claims that Bale has plenty of Premier League suitors, with both Man United and Chelsea prepared to pay the €100m that Real are demanding in order to let him leave.

Would losing Bale to gain Mbappe be a good move for Real?
