Balogun trains ahead Leicester clash

Nigerian international, Leon Balogun, looks set to don the Brighton jersey for the third time in the Premier League this season.

It would be recalled that the central defender withdrew from the Nigeria squad for the international friendly against Uganda on Tuesday due to concerns about his fitness.

Balohun was pictured training with other first teamers on Thursday ahead of the visit of Leicester City to the American Express Community Stadium this weekend.

Thursday’s training was held at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre.

With the partnership of Shane Duffy and Lewis Dunk flourishing during the club’s first season in the Premier League, very few expected Balogun to walk straight into the starting XI and he has found it difficult to dislodge the duo thus far.

The 30-year-old’s first Premier League experience came against Manchester United at the AMEX and his second was against Liverpool.
