The veteran tactician decided to quit his appointment with the Jos side because of his rough relationship with the club’s top hierarchy
Zachary Baraje has disclosed that he resigned as Plateau United head coach after a season in charge of the Jos side because of the frosty relationship he had with the management of the club last season.
Baraje informed on Tuesday that he had sent his resignation letter to the club’s office and that he does not want to elongate his stay with the Jos side after the management failure to open fresh contract talks with him at the end of the just concluded season and his unending feud with the management of the team headed by the General Manager, Pius Hemwan.
“I resigned as the coach of Plateau United and I don’t have any regret doing so,” Baraje told Goal.
“I was suspended last season because I voiced out that we needed to buy quality players to beef up our team and during my suspension, new players were recruited which helped the team to stay in the premier league.
“I can’t continue to work in that kind of atmosphere where my work is not appreciated. I need to seek another journey apart from Plateau United.”
