Basketball Africa League: FIBA boss charges Rivers Hoopers

President of the FIBA African zone 3, Col. Sam Ahmedu has urged Rivers Hoopers to go all out to win the Basketball Africa League.

Ahmedu stated this while presenting sports items to the team as they prepare for the competition.

The Dodan Warrior proprietor enjoined all Nigerians to support the team to ensure they return with the trophy from Rwanda venue of the competition.

“We need to encourage hoopers to do well. As our flag bearers, they deserved all the support to attain success.

He then presented the team match balls, shirts and N50,000 cash as a way of boosting their morale ahead of the competition billed to hold between May 16-25.

The Rivers state team is currently training at the indoor hall of Teslim Balogun Stadium and are expected to travel to kigali on May 14.
