Belgium have been dumped out of the World Cup after being held to a goalless draw by Croatia, The Sun reported.
Croatia thought they had the ideal opportunity to take the lead early into the clash when they were awarded a penalty.
But Belgium were saved by VAR after a check revealed a Croatian player’s sleeve was offside in the build-up to the foul.
They still failed to mount much of an offense which led to boss Roberto Martinez bringing on Romelu Lukaku at the break.
The striker missed four opportunities to be the hero and save their World Cup dream – including being denied by the post.
And Eden Hazard was introduced off the bench too – but neither were able to produce that big moment to stop them from being eliminated.
That meant it was Croatia who clung on to second spot, with Morocco topping the group.
