Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin have embarked on a short midseason break following an impressive 2–0 victory over Kwara United in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clash played on Saturday, December 27, in Benin
The convincing home win capped a strong run of form for the Benin Arsenals and provided a positive note for the players and technical crew before proceeding on a brief recess to mark the remainder of the yuletide period with their families.
According to the club, the five-day break commenced on Monday, December 29, 2025, and will end on Friday, January 2, 2026.
Players are expected to return to camp by Friday evening, with full training activities scheduled to resume on Saturday, January 3, 2026.

The Management of the club extended warm New Year wishes to players, officials, supporters, and stakeholders, expressing optimism for a more rewarding second half of the season when league action resumes.
Speaking through the General Manager, Charles Ihimekpen, the club urged players to maintain discipline during the break and ensure they return refreshed, focused, and ready to sustain the momentum that has seen Bendel Insurance move away from the relegation danger zone.
The management also commended the players and technical crew for their renewed commitment and professionalism, noting that the recent turnaround in fortunes has been evident since Kennedy Boboye assumed duties as head coach and technical manager on October 13, 2025.
Bendel Insurance further appreciated their loyal supporters and fans for their unwavering support and belief in the team’s ability to bounce back to winning ways, assuring them of greater determination and improved performances when the second round of the season kicks off on January 14, 2026.
