Dr Elo Jackson, a veteran tennis player says it has entered into a collaboration with the Edo Tennis Association to organise a tournament for veteran tennis players in the South-South.
Emma Ujadughele, Chairman of the Local Organising Committee for the tournament in a statement on Monday said the event would hold in Benin between March 14 and 16.
Ujadughele, who said the tournament was open to veterans from 50 years and above, explained that it aimed for exercise, fun, rejuvenation and networking.
“There are two categories; men’s singles with open to 50-55-year-old veterans and men’s doubles for 56-year-old and above,” he said.
The LOC chair noted there would be cash prizes for winners in the two categories as well as medals for all participants.
