‘Los Blancos’ announced just yesterday that defender Marcelo had also signed an extension in the Spanish capital.
Isco now becomes the latest name Real have tied down to a new deal, with the possibility of more to come.
A statement on the club’s website read:
‘Real Madrid C. F. and Isco have agreed to extend the player’s contract, which will see him remain at the club until the 30th June 2022.
‘Tomorrow, Friday, at 2pm, Isco will appear before the media in the press room of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.’
The 25-year-old, whose previous deal was due to expire next summer, will put pen to paper on a new five-year contract at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Isco has been rewarded after he enjoyed an impressive end to last season, helping Zinedine Zidane’s side to a second consecutive Champions League, and followed up with strong performances to begin the 2017/18 campaign.
According the Spanish publication ‘AS’, the playmaker will earn an annual salary of €6m on the new contract, which has a colossal €700m release clause in it.
