The Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) has certified the use of Agege Stadium for the second leg Champions League match between MFM Football Club and AS Bamako of Mali scheduled to hold tomorrow.
The Nigeria representative were held to a one all draw in the first leg match in Mali last week.
The CAF three man team led by Martinez Gomez from The Gambia after the inspection Tuesday expressed satisfaction with the level of work done by the committee headed by the Special Assistant to Lagos state governor on Sport facilities Bolaji Yusuf saying the committee has done so well.
Gomez who could not hide his feelings seeing the work done at dressing room, the VIP section ,the referees room and the conveniences thanked the state governor; Akinwunmi Ambode for responding promptly to the request by CAF to put the stadium in place if he want MFM Fc use the place fir it’s home matches.
He also commended the committee for working tirelessly in ensuring the completion of work at the stadium.
Reacting, the Special Assistant Sport Facility to Lagos state governor, Bolaji Yusuf the committee was able meet up with the CAF deadline due to the prompt release of funds by the state governor and the desire to see the team do well in the championship.
