An Ibadan based sports enthusiast ,Hamzat Ismail Kolade has reiterated his commitment to the development of sports in the state just as he hailed the leadership of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria(SWAN) Oyo state chapter for changing the face of the association in the state.
Kolade,the Chief Executive Officer Cool Global Interlinks Limited made this known when the Oyo SWAN Sport Week and Award committee paid him a courtesy visit at his Adamasingba, Ibadan ahead of the week and award nite scheduled to hold between 11th-15th December.
The businessmogul who sponsored the 2017 Oyo state federation cup finals said he was impressed with the association following its prompt dissemination of information of sporting activities in the state and the new development recorded by its leadership in the last one year, saying ‘’as a lover sports, I want to appreaciate the association for the success recorded so far in the last one year and i want to also commend the standard of professionalism which has helped grteat sports reportage in the state,’’ he said.
Kolade who expresed sadness over the relegation of Shooting Stars Sports Club said he cannot wait to see the club return to the elite division said he will suppor the club inn any form to ensure it return to the elite league thus promised to support SWAN during its week in order to have a befiting annual sports week and award nite .
‘’I want to assure this great and noble association of our support, the management of the company will meet to decide on which way to support swan during its sports week but I can
assure you of our support and i realy appreaciated your visit to our head office. This is the begining of cordial relationship between the two organisation,’’ he said.
In his earlier remarks, the chairman SWAN OYO, Niyi Alebiosu who led oth ecommittee members to his office commended the business mogul for his contribution to sports in the state just as he urged him to do more saying sports is a veriatble venture that helps in the growth of the economy of the state and the country .
