Champions League: Gov Lalong promises Plateau Utd support

Plateau State governor, Simon Bako Lalong, has promised Plateau United support to enable them to excel in their CAF Champions League campaign.

Lalong, who was at the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, on Sunday when his team beat Esperance of Tunisia 2-1 said he was happy with the display of the team, as he promised to provide them with all the necessary support to scale through when they play in Tunisia this weekend in a second leg tie.

“I’m impressed about the game. I personally came to watch my team and also to encourage my boys. Today you saw a display by the boys. The NFF president is here. I think they are here to celebrate with us as all the three teams (Plateau, Kwara and Rivers United). The three Nigerian teams won and that is why I’m very encouraged.
