Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Champions, Plateau United, hosts Kano Pillars and home-based Super Eagles, who will feature in next year’s CHAN in Morocco, will feature in the forthcoming Super 4 in Kano from December 11.
Organisers confirmed that NPFL runners-up MFM FC, Aiteo Cup winners Akwa United and Enyimba, who finished third in the league will be the other teams in pre-season tournament.
“We are delighted to be part of the Super 4 as it will get us set for the new season,” Pillars spokesman Idris Malikawa said.
“You can also expect big crowds at the matches because we love our football in Kano.”
The tourney will be concluded on December 17.
The invitational tournament is aimed at preparing both the CHAN Eagles and the country’s representatives in both the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup.
Rivers United won the last Super 4 in Enugu.
