‘Chaos in the Ring’: Balmoral’s Game Rush to hold watch party for Joshua vs Dubois fight

Boxing fans are set to experience ‘Chaos in the Ring’, an event featuring electrifying live boxing matches and a viewing experience of the Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois clash.

The event will take place today at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace, Victoria Island.

Ahead of the upcoming event, Game Rush held a weigh-in event for the Nigerian boxing champions on , Friday September 20, giving fans a preview of the intensity to expect.

The weigh-in brought together some of Nigeria’s most prominent figures in sports, including Chief Executive Officer of Balmoral Group, Dr. Ezekiel Adamu; President of the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control and Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Dr. Rafiu Oladipo; and Vice President of the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control and Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Prince Adeoloofin, and former Director-General of the Nigerian Sports Commission and a respected figure in FIFA and CAF, Dr. Amos Adamu.

Speaking at the event, CEO of Balmoral Group, Ezekiel Adamu, said, “At Balmoral, we always pride ourselves on redefining experiences across every sector we touch. Now, through Game Rush’s ‘Chaos in the Ring’, we are doing the same for boxing, and giving back to the community.

As a nation, boxing has brought us international glory, yet it remains underrepresented at home. With this event, our goal is to elevate boxing to its rightful place as a mainstream entertainment force in Nigeria, a sport that commands the attention and passion it deserves.”

The weigh-in featured medicals, intense face-offs, and pictures with their opponents. On Saturday, the following athletes will step into the ring:

5.8 x 3 minutes round – National Middleweight Challenge

Omolola Ayodeji (54kg) Vs Joy Nene Ojo (52kg)
National Female Super Bantamweight Challenge

Akintunde Abolade (62kg) Vs Yusuf Ogunbunmi (65kg)
National Light Welterweight Challenge

Segun Afiku (71kg) Vs Kazeem Lawal (71kg)
National Super Welterweight Challenge

Basit Adebayo (64kg) Vs Ridwan Abdulazeez (62kg)
National Lightweight Challenge

The main event will see challenger Nurudeen Salawu face off against the reigning National Superweight Champion, Best Sifon Iwatt, in what promises to be an unforgettable match.

Tensions were high during the face-off, with Iwatt confidently stating, “Tomorrow, I’m going to show you that I’m a world-class best, and you will know that I’m not joking.”
