Chelsea beat Leeds to reach FA Cup Final

Chelsea beat Leeds 1-0 at Wembley to reach the FA Cup final, with Enzo Fernandez scoring the decisive goal in the first half.

Fernandez’s header in the 23rd minute settled a match played in Chelsea’s first outing since Liam Rosenior’s sacking.

The goal came after Pascal Struijk lost possession in Leeds’ half, allowing Pedro Neto to deliver a cross that Fernandez converted from close range.

Leeds had started well and created the first major chance when Brenden Aaronson ran through on goal after a defensive error, but Robert Sanchez saved the attempt.

Chelsea also went close through Joao Pedro, who struck the post from a tight angle before Fernandez gave them the lead.

Leeds improved after the break. Anton Stach tested Sanchez with a long-range effort moments after coming on, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin also had a header saved.

Sanchez later received treatment for an injury, with Leeds players reacting on the touchline, leading to a brief confrontation between both sides.

Chelsea managed the closing stages and held on to secure victory and a place in the final against Manchester City on May 16.

The win ended a run of poor results and sends Chelsea into their 17th FA Cup final.
