Chelsea launch £30 million bid for Germany star

The Blues have made a £30 million bid for a player they have trailed for two years, who is likely to become the club’s first signing of the summer.

Antonio Conte is on the lookout for a new central defender, and it looks like he has settled on Roma defender Toni Rudiger.

The centre-back is currently starring for Germany at the Confederations Cup, and has been object of Chelsea’s interest since joining the Italian club two years ago.

The Premier League title holders have therefore decided to bid £30 million for the 24-year-old, with the player’s agent due to visit London to begin talks.
