Chelsea star Eden Hazard lifts lid on life under Antonio Conte: This is what he’s given us

EDEN HAZARD is loving life under new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.

The 47-year-old Italian was confirmed as Jose Mourinho’s permanent successor back in April.

But Blues fans had to wait until the summer to catch a glimpse of the former Juventus chief at work.

His side sit fifth heading into tomorrow’s showdown with Manchester United as they still look to get to grips with his tactical approach.

Although it seems Stamford Bridge star Eden Hazard couldn’t be happier with how things are going so far this season.

Appearing on Chelsea TV’s Friday Night Live show, he said: “He’s like our 12th player.

“He’s there, he talks a lot. It’s good to have this guy behind us.”

And the former Lille winger opened up on how Conte allows him to play with fewer demands than his old gaffer Mourinho.

“I like when a manager gives me freedom on the pitch, and with him it’s like this,” Hazard added.

“I know what to do when I don’t have the ball and when we have the ball he tells me I’m free and I don’t have to do this or that.

“All of the offensive players are free and it’s good.”

Should Conte’s team get one over on his predecessor tomorrow, Chelsea will move five points clear of the Red Devils in the Premier League table.
