Frank Lampard is to be sacked as Chelsea manager after just over a season in charge of the West London club.
Despite his win in the FA Cup against Luton yesterday players were reportedly told not to report to the club’s training ground until the afternoon.
The Telegraph claims that this is because Frank Lampard is set to meet with club representatives for his job to be terminated.
Chelsea currently sit 9th in the Premier League table after horrific run of form, winning just 2 of their last 8 Premier League games.

The club spent a significant amount of money in the summer after recruiting Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen, Timo Werner from RB Leipzig, Thiago Silva from PSG, Edouard Mendy from Rennes, Hakim Ziyech from Ajax, Malang Sarr from Nice and Ben Chilwell from Leicester City.
The favourite to replace Lampard is reportedly former PSG boss Thomas Tuchel.
Allegri has never been in touch with Chelsea board in the last weeks. Thomas Tuchel has been offered many times and he’s the favourite as German manager – also to ‘help’ Werner and Havertz. Lampard is gone.
