City outcast Yaya Toure WILL be allowed to join Premier League rival in January

  • Yaya Toure has been told he will not play for Manchester City again
  • Pep Guardiola says his agent must apologise for comments about the club
  • Dimitri Seluk suggested City would lose ‘millions of fans’ in Africa
  • Toure was left out of Guardiola’s 25-man Champions League squad

Yaya Toure wants to stay in the Premier League if he leaves Manchester City in the January transfer window.

The Ivory Coast star accepts he has no future at the Etihad following a spectacular fallout between his agent Dimitri Seluk and new City boss Pep Guardiola.

Toure turned down a lucrative offer from China in the summer as well as a chance to move to Inter Milan because he does not want to uproot his family from their Cheshire home, and remains keen to continue his career at a more competitive level in England.

City want to get Toure’s £220,000-a-week wages off their books and will be open to offers in January.

It’s understood they would be prepared to let the 33-year-old midfielder join one of their rivals.

Toure returned to training this week but was not included in the extended party that travelled to South Wales for last night’s EFL Cup tie at Swansea and Saturday’s Premier League clash with the same opponents.
