Kelechi Iheanacho could still have more competition at Manchester City after it emerged the club have been asked to be kept in touch with developments regarding the future of Wilfried Zaha.
The Crystal Palace forward has been in fine form for the Eagles, and City are understood to be interested in making a move for the former Manchester United flop, according to the Daily Mail.
The report claims Pep Guardiola wants to strengthen in a number of positions during the summer and is aware of Tottenham’s strong interest in Zaha.
Crystal Palace will also realise that with their future in the Premier League still hanging in the balance, they face a problem with keeping the £30million-rated Zaha this summer with the winger only on half of Christian Benteke’s £120,000-a-week.
Zaha has recovered from a turbulent 18 months at Old Trafford and he is now playing the best football of his life for Crystal Palace, but could now make the switch to United’s cross-town rivals, Manchester City.
Iheanacho got 19 minutes of game time as Manchester City defeated Hull City 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium in Saturday’s English Premier League game.
It was Iheanacho’s sixth English topflight game this year – with his last outing in their 1-1 home draw against Liverpool on March 19.
