Conte opens up on his relationship with Mourinho

Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte insists that he and Jose Mourinho now have an ‘ordinary’ relationship despite their many bust-ups over the past two seasons.

During the previous campaign the pair had a couple of arguments on the sidelines during some heated exchanges, while this year it has mainly been in the press room where both have hit insults back and forth.

However, the managers seemed to call a truce ahead of the last game back in February, and both Conte and Mourinho have ensured that it is still the case ahead of the FA Cup final between the Blues and Manchester United this weekend.

“After the game here in Manchester, I invited him to come to my office. We talked, nothing’s wrong,” Mourinho revealed.

“He stretched out his hand, I stretched, we got bored. It’s okay, it’s okay.”

Conte insists the spotlight being on the two managers ahead of the match at Wembley is not the concern, however, and that the duo are set for another harmonious reunion.

“This is not important, what happened. What is important is that there is an ordinary relationship between him and me. I will shake his hand tomorrow, for sure. And then we will think about the game,” Conte said.
