Thibaut Courtois reportedly wants to become the Premier League’s best-paid goalkeeper to commit his future to Chelsea.
The Belgian is out of contract in 2019 and has so far failed to agree terms on a new extension.
And Het Laatste Nieuws in his homeland are claiming that he wants £210,000-a-week to sign a new deal with the Blues.
That would take him above Manchester United’s David de Gea as the highest-earner No1 in England.
Courtois, 25, is wanted by a host of Europe’s big guns as the champions fight to try and keep him at Stamford Bridge.
Real Madrid have been long-term admirers and are believed to be readying a move for the stopper next summer.
Big-spending French giants Paris Saint-Germain and Serie A kings Juventus are also monitoring Courtois’ situation as the star and his representatives have decided to put contract talks with Chelsea on hold until the new year.
And that will only add further uncertainty over his future amid the interest in him.
He was long been linked with a move away from West London, but he claims his decision to postpone extension talks is purely based on the fact he wants to concentrate on the busy upcoming hectic schedule.
