Cristiano owes his brilliance to United, not to Real Madrid

MICHEAL Owen, who played for Manchester United and Real Madrid wanted to talk about the Portuguese striker of the set.

Michael Owen, former winner of the golden ball, knows the perfection, the style of play of Real Madrid and Manchester United. For that reason Owen gave declarations to the ‘Mirror’ talking about his career as a player and he has left some rather controversial statements.

Owen assured to the English media that Cristiano Ronaldo owes all his brilliance to the six years under order of Sir Alex Ferguson.

“Cristiano was extraordinary during his time at Manchester. I do not think Real Madrid could have any credit, because United and ‘Fergie’ put him on the road, and then he continued to get better in Madrid.”

He added: “At Manchester, Ronaldo had seasons from another world and he did not stop in getting better. He is unique. Ronaldo and Messi have taken the football to another level for a long time.”
