Cristiano Ronaldo Jnr nets goal on his debut for Spanish youth side Pozuelo… after snubbing Real Madrid

Cristianinho has signed up to play for Spanish fourth tier club as fans question why he does not represent his dad’s team

COULD Cristiano Ronaldo Jnr grow up to be as good as his dad?

Of course, it’s too soon to tell. After all ‘Cristianinho’ is only six years old.

However, the youngster clearly has an eye for goal, much like his dad, netting on his debut for Spanish fourth tier side Pozuelo CF’s youth team.

In a week where Barcelona’s stars such as Lionel Messi enrolled their kids at the Catalan youth set-up, and Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic saw their little ones join Man United, it seemed off that Cristiano Jnr failed to join Real Madrid.

Apparently, that is all by design, in a bid to shield his son from the bright lights of the media, and nothing more sinister, such as a fall-out with Florentino Perez as many reported.

After signing for Pozuelo, Cristianinho quickly made his debut and netted in his side’s 4-3 win over El Carrascal.

Much like his dad, Cristiano Jnr donned the No7 shirt for Pozuelo – whose senior side finished third in the 20-team Community of Madrid region of the Tercera Division.

They failed to secure promotion after losing in the non-champions promotion play-off clash 2-0 across two legs to Haro.

That said, if young Ronaldo grows up to be half as good as his dad, he could provide a boost during his formative years…
