Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos ‘urge Robert Lewandowski to join them at Real Madrid’

CRISTIANO Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos have urged Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski to leave the German giants and join Real Madrid.

Spanish newspaper AS have reported the two Real stars spoke to the Polish striker in the aftermath of their Champions League defeat of Bayern in Madrid on Tuesday night.

Sergio Ramos were also involved in the conversation, as the duo urged the striker to join Real

The duo are said to have told Lewandowski that their club would be the best place for him to further his career, with AS reporting the Pole did not reject the possibility of moving to the Spanish capital.

The conversation is said to have occurred in the moments after Bayern’s exit from the Champions League, which came following an extra-time defeat at the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez is also said to have spoken to Lewandowski, where he asked about the striker’s family and wished him well for the rest of the season.

Lewandowski did not play in the first leg of the tie in Munich, which ended in a 2-1 Real Madrid victory, but returned to score in the second although he was unable to guide his side through to the last four.

Ronaldo scored a hat-trick to take his side through, where they will now face city rivals Atletico Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals.

While Lewandowski is said to have long-admired Real, any move away from Bayern is likely to be complicated by the new contract he signed as recently as December.

The new deal, which significantly increased his salary to close to £300,000 a week after add-ons, has tied him to Bayern until 2021.

The 28-year-old has scored a stunning 47 goals in 46 appearances for Bayern this season.
