Cristiano Ronaldo watches Rafael Nadal beat Novak Djokovic

Cristiano Ronaldo shares a joke as he settles in to watch Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic

CRISTIANO Ronaldo is hailed as one of, if not the best footballer on the planet.

The Real Madrid talisman took some time out from another stellar campaign to witness more world class talent in action at the Mutua Madrid Open.

Ronaldo, who has guided Real Madrid into the Champions League final and vying for the La Liga trophy with his 35 goals this season, relaxed in the sunshine whilst watching tennis greats Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic on the clay.

The Spaniard prevailed 6-2, 6-4 to clinch a first victory over Djokovic in seven-matches, a spell that has stretched back three years, to book a place in the final against Austrian Dominic Thiem.

Nadal is an ardent fan of Real Madrid and would have welcomed Ronaldo’s presence on the sidelines, along with Los Blancos legend Raul.

Zinedine Zidane will hope Ronaldo continues his sublime recent form to help Real Madrid to victory over Seville on Sunday.
