Real Madrid icon was happy to return balls to the kids’ game in Spain
CRISTIANO RONALDO has got a great first touch – he’s also still got the common touch after helping out as a ball-boy for his son’s football team.
The Real Madrid icon and former Manchester United man proved he is not too big-time to do basic dad-duties like retrieve the wayward shots from some of little Cristiano‘s friends and team-mates at a kids’ game in Spain.
While the six-year old was playing in Spain, his old man was stuck behind the goal and broke into a jog to return a ball ballooned over the fence.
With a typically classy flick he lifted the ball up in the air and then dropped it back to the goalkeeper.
The Portuguese is giving his heir every chance of following in his footsteps but he doesn’t want to force the youngster into the family trade.
He has said: “I have 30 balls at home, he is always with the ball and he loves it.
“But I will not force him to be a player because it comes naturally, it has to be his choice.
“He will be whatever he wants to be, I am not going to push him at all.”
As well as his football skills, the three-time Balon d’Or is set to hand down a chain of hotels to his son.
The Euro 2016 champion opened his latest ventures this week as he predicts his glittering career will come to an end in the next decade.
