Dani Alves: soon to be a citizen?

Alves is about to sign a two-year contract with the Citizens.

Alves had a year remaining on his contract at Juventus. Although it seems that Alves will move to the Citizens. This would mean a reunion between Guardiola and Alves.

In 2008, the Spanish coach signed the Brazilian international for Barcelona. They had four successful years together, winning the Champions League and LaLiga.

Chelsea were also interested in signing the Brazilian right-back. Alves’s admiration for Guaridola might have been the main reason, why Alves choose to play for the Citizens.

After the departures of Pablo Zabaleta and Gael Clichy, Manchester City have been in desperate need of a right-back. Alves fits this role perfectly. In the following days, he will sign a two-year contract.
