David Luiz will be offered a new contract by Chelsea after impressing Maurizio Sarri this season.
The Brazilian appeared to be on his way out at Stamford Bridge with Antonio Conte preferring other options.
But since the arrival of Sarri, Luiz has distinguished himself, thriving alongside Antonio Rudiger to help implement Sarri-ball in a major style revamp.

The 31-year-old has one year remaining on his contract in London, but talks are now expected to begin over extending his second spell at the club.
Speaking after the Blues’ draw with Liverpool last weekend, Luiz has hinted he will gladly sign a new deal.
“In the first week I spoke with him. I said to him that “I am going to work hard to show you I want to play in your team, with your philosophy,'” he said.
“I had two offers from different clubs but I told Chelsea I wanted to stay,” Luiz said.
“Would I have gone if Conte stayed? For sure. But they changed for Sarri and I have tried to convince Sarri I want to stay at Chelsea.
“I am playing now and enjoying it. I didn’t play (for most of) the last six months (under Conte). Sarri is human, he wants us to take pleasure in playing football. He said every day we have to enjoy it.”

The Standard believe that not only will Luiz earn a new contract, but a new, young defender will arrive in January.
Gary Cahill is set to leave, meaning the interest in Daniele Rugani could be reignited – particularly after he broke off talks over a new contract himself at the Allianz Stadium.
