Edin Dzeko has singled out former Manchester City teammate David Silva as the best player he has ever been on a pitch with.
The pair won two Premier League titles during the Bosnian’s time at the Etihad, where Dzeko scored many of his 50 goals for the Sky Blues on the end of build-ups involving Silva.
Despite that side also possessing Sergio Aguero and having played with the likes of Francesco Totti as AS Roma, the 30-year-old claims that the Spanish playmaker was the one who inspired his best form.
“This is a difficult choice as I’ve played with so many great players,” Dzeko said in an interview with Roma’s official website.
“I think I would have to go with David Silva, he does amazing things with the ball and they don’t call him the Little Magician for nothing.
“This guy was brilliant with his feet, he could take any ball you gave him, control it, and pass it on.
“All of us were always amazed by his ability and technique. He is definitely the best I’ve played with.”
