Tottenham Hotspur midfielders Dele Alli and Eric Dier backed the team to bounce back after a disappointing 1-0 Champions League defeat to Bayer Leverkusen at Wembley.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side lost at their adopted Wembley base for European matches for the second time in a row as Kevin Kampl benefited from a ricochet to grab the second-half winner.
Spurs now have to pick themselves up for a North London derby against rivals Arsenal on Sunday.
And Alli told BT Sport: “We are playing well, but we have got to finish our chances when they come and we have got to keep going.
“We have had a few things go against us and we have got to turn it around now.
“Tottenham is a club looking to move forward. We have confidence in our ability. It is a matter of finishing off games and getting results.
“We are a young team, but we expect ourselves to perform against anyone.”
Dier said the disappointed Spurs players would “get back to work and go again.”
He added: “If you want to be a big team, you have got to bounce back straight away.”
