Deontay Wilder, the former World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight champion, has restated his desire to fight Francis Ngannou, a Cameroonian-French professional mixed martial artist.
Speaking in Saudi Arabia during the Tommy Fury vs. Jake Paul fight, Wilder proposed his first fight in the region and expressed his interest in the atmosphere of the people and the development of boxing in the Middle East.
He also mentioned his intention to get two or three fights and confirmed that the potential fight with Ngannou is next.

Ngannou, who left the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), desires to compete with the best heavyweight boxers, and Wilder has expressed his willingness to take the fight.
Wilder hinted that the two-fight deal could take place in Saudi Arabia and Africa between May/June and December, respectively.
However, the WBC has ordered Wilder to face off against former Mexican heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz for the mandatory spot to champion Tyson Fury.
