Flamingos midfielder, Faridat Abdulwahab, has praised the professional competence of their handler, Bankole Olowookere which aided the team’s qualification for the final round of the World Cup.

The Nigeria women’s national U17 team on Saturday thrashed their counterparts from Burkina Faso 6-0 to progress to the fourth round of the qualifier.

The creative midfielder told Sporting Tribune via telephone after their victory at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja, that Olowookere did a lot of work on them.

She said the result of the first leg gave the whole team sleepless nights which prepared the team for the second leg which they won comfortably.

“I believe the coach [Olowookere] did a lot of work on us in preparation towards today’s (Saturday) encounter and this is the result of our hardwork.

“I know there is a big task ahead of us now that we are in the final round of the qualifiers, with God on our side, we will not disappoint.

“Personally, I’ve been training hard in helping the team and improving my performances,” Faridat said.
