Jose Mourinho insists he has buried the hatchet with his old enemy Arsene Wenger.
The two men have a history of bad blood in English football, with Mourinho famously describing the Frenchman as ‘a specialist in failure’.
But the United boss revealed that they shook hands away from the cameras when Arsenal snatched a late draw at Old Trafford in November and he now considers the matter closed.
‘‘He doesn’t need to make peace,’’ said Mourinho. ‘‘He doesn’t need to because there are no problems.
‘‘In the last match at Old Trafford, we shook hands before and after. I remember that I still met him in the corridor for the press conferences, and we shook hands again.
‘‘When there is peace, we don’t have to have problem. I am a big boy, I’m in football all my life. I know a problem on the pitch, the next day is not a problem at all.’’
So for me not a problem at all.’
