Double package for Manchester City Star

Leroy Sane is ready to sign a new five-year deal at the Etihad and will see his current £60,000 per week wages almost doubled.

The Manchester City winger has spoken with Pep Guardiola, who was quick to try and lift his spirits following his shock omission from the Germany World Cup squad.

And in a further booster to his confidence, the City board are now ready to sit down with him when he returns for pre-season training next week.

Sane, who was voted last season’s PFA Young Player of the Year, still has three years remaining on his deal but the Citizens don’t want to leave it any longer to put the rapid 22-year-old further out of bounds.

It’s understood from people close to Sane, the former Schalke man has been touched by the messages of support he’s received from his City colleagues, further convincing him that continuing in Manchester is the right thing for his career at this time.

The German has established himself as one of the most exciting young talents in the game since his £38m arrival two years ago, further underlining City’s justification for taking his pay to the next level.
