Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr
Nigeria head coach Gernot Rohr has assured that his team are “fully focused and committed” to go toe to toe with African champions Cameroon in Friday’s Fifa World Cup qualifying match.
The Super Eagles play hosts to the Cameroonian side at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, and Rohr explained that his men know they have a big game on their hands.
He added that “the players know what it means” to face Cameroon in the World Cup qualifier.
“Since last November we know we were going to play Cameroon. We are ready now. We have injured players coming back. We have experience in the team now,” he said.
“Cameroon have a good team but we also have a good team. They want to come and win, we also want to win. It’s going to be a great game and we are ready.”
“It is a big match and we are fully focused and committed. The players know what it means; they need little or no reminding of how important this match is. I am happy we have almost the full house now and can concentrate on our tactics for the game,” said Rohr.
