Rohr, while speaking at the post-match conference said the defeat would serve as a lesson to the team as a whole and would send a signal to the players that a lot still needs to be done.

“Though we lost, I am still happy with my players. As you can see, it is a wake-up call for the team and we need to block the loopholes,” Rohr said.
The coach who has now lost two matches since he took charge of the Nigeria team, added “We are having problems in our midfield which really affected us, but with three more friendlies to play, I am optimistic that we shall find a solution to it. This explains why we gave new players the opportunity to exhibit their skills and potential for us to know where we are lacking to improve on it,” Rohr said.
“We tried new players and I believe with time they will improve. And I am also sure that this match will propel us to do well at the World Cup,” Rohr added.
