Eagles eager for AFCON return ―Rohr

Ahead of Nigeria’s doubleheader AFCON 2019 qualifier against the Mediterranean Knights of Libya, Super Eagles’ Coach Gernot Rohr has backed his players to deliver the maximum three points, urging them to go for the kill at home in Uyo and Tunis.

“We know how the game against Libya is important to all of us. The players want to be in the Nations Cup next year because you already know we did not go to the last two editions. So they will all be motivated to get the needed result”, Rohr told AOIFootball.com.

“I believe we can get the maximum points from this game and boost our chances of qualifiers; last year during the World Cup qualification we did a good job against Cameroon, so I’m confident they boys invited will replicate the same kind of performance,” Rohr said.

Levante forward, Simon Moses, who made a return to Rohr’s squad after missing out in the 2018 World Cup in Russia owing to injury has called on the fans for support while promising to put in their best in the encounters.

“We all want to be part of next year’s Africa cup of nations,” Simon told NFF media.

“We will take our chances in both games and give out best.

“We urge our fans to fill the Stadium with green and white and fill up the stadium on match day.”
