Eagles to hit Uyo on Wednesday for Algeria

The Super Eagles are brimming with confidence as they arrive Uyo ahead of the Saturday tie with the Greens

The Super Eagles will depart for Uyo, the Akwa Ibom capital on Wednesday for the final part of the build up to the Saturday 2018 World Cup qualifier against Algeria at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.

Eagles’ will have their final practice session in Abuja on Wednesday morning before they will leave for Uyo in the afternoon.

The Media Officer of the team, Toyin Ibitoye told Goal: “Eagles do not want to be caught in the web of the problem that bedeviled their preparations for the Afcon qualifier against Tanzania with the flight arrangements to Uyo suffering series of hitches because the players came one after the other themselves.

“The technical crew wants the players to train together and it was agreed that all players should fly directly to Abuja from where the training starts and then to Uyo. We shall be leaving for Uyo later on Wednesday. The players will rest after arriving on Wednesday and then train on Thursday at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.”

Eagles are seeking another win on Saturday to extend their lead at the top of the Group B table with a win over the Algerians at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo after starting the World Cup qualifiers with an away victory against Zambia last month.
