The Super Eagles will fly out for an important 2019 AFCON qualifier against South Africa Thursday evening from Benin City, according to officials.
The Max Air chartered flight is expected to ferry 98 persons directly to Johannesburg.
The team will return to the country on Saturday after the match against Bafana Bafana at the FNB Stadium.

In the meantime, South Africa-based Daniel Akpeyi who was in goal when South Africa stunned Nigeria 2-0 in Uyo last year, has now completed the goalkeepers’ union in the team as both Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Theophilus Afelokhai were among the early arrivals.
Team spokesman Toyin Ibitoye said the Eagles will train twice today and both will be closed to the public.
He disclosed that today’s training will be open.
