Nigerians have been assured of better and improved Super Eagles team against England when both teams meet in an international friendly.
Both team will slug it out June 2 at Wembley Stadium, London after which the Nigerian team move to Russia for the World Cup.
Speaking to Tribunesport in London, Chairman, Technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF); Alhaji Ahmed Fresh Yusuf said the technical crew of the Super Eagles are working round the clock to present an improved team that Nigerians will be proud of.
According to him, the team have given their best in the friendlies played so far but optimistic of a better squad against England in what will be a crucial game.
“In as much as we would have love to win against Serbia Nigerian a should put that behind and expect better game against England. The technical crew are not under any pressure from the federation but they working round the clock to present a formidable team. The match is very crucial to both countries and to us especially but I can assure soccer living Nigerians that a better and improved team will be on parade in the match against England,” he said.
The chairman Niger State Football Association speaking further disclosed the federation is not owing any players of the Super Eagles has been speculated in some quarters.
“We are not owing any player. All their bonuses have been paid to the last kobo,” Yusuf said.
