Eaglets Fly out to Brazil

Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets will tonight fly out the Country, en route Brazil where they will camp until the FIFA U17 World Cup.

Manu Garba’s team will play tune up games including against South Korea, Japan and an unnamed Brazilian team as part of their final preparation for the World Cup.

Speaking on Brila FM, Media Officer of the team, Francis Achi said, “The golden Eaglets will leave Nigeria later Today (Wednesday); the Players, Coaches and back room staff.

“It’ll be a comprehensive training camp before the final 21 players will be selected.

“They’ll face South Korea, Japan and a team from São Paulo during this intensive camping.”

Achi also revealed there might be some adjustment to the squad and final selection.

“A lot of players who went for the tournament in Turkey will be shocked, because some didn’t raise their game and there’s a chance that those who didn’t join the Turkey trip will break into the squad.”

Nigeria’s bid for a record extending sixth title will get underway on October 26 against Hungary.

The Eaglets are in Group B alongside Hungary, Ecuador and Australia.
