EFL: Liverpool will be difficult to beat–Ndidi

Nigerian international, Wilfred Ndidi says Liverpool serve as formidable opposition as he leads Leicester City out at the King Power Stadium in the EFL Carabao Cup third round fixture against the Reds.
Ndidi alongside compatriots, Kelechi Iheanacho and Ahmed Musa will represent Nigeria’s interest in this marquee League Cup fixture.
“Of course we want to win the Cup,” midfielder, Ndidi told KweseESPN. “But we know it will be difficult playing against Liverpool.
“Everybody knows they’re a big club and they have a great history. But we can’t think about that. We have to focus on the 11 men in front of us and do our job well.”
Meanwhile, Iheanacho, who made his full premier league debut for the Foxes last weekend in the 1-1 draw against Huddersfield, would look forward to regaining his scoring form tonight against Liverpool, which serves as his fourth game.
The former Manchester City starlet, has not scored since his £25m summer move to Leicester City save for the goal during the U23 game against West Ham, while Musa, has been struggling for a regular place in his second season with the 2015/2016 EPL champions.

Meanwhile, Former Arsenal and Celtic forward, Charlie Nicholas says tonight’s clash provides Iheanacho a great opportunity to announce his arrival in Leicester under Craig Shakespeare.
The 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup winner and Most Valuable Player (MVP), last weekend lost a gilt-edged chance against Huddersfield in the first half.
“This is a good time for Kelechi Iheanacho to come good. He’s in danger of being the next Saido Berahino in terms of just going through the motions and needs to seize his chance in games like this,” he told www.leicestermercury.co.uk.
The Sky Sports expert believes City will triumph over Jurgen Klopp side tonight.
“I covered Liverpool at the weekend and I was baffled by Jurgen Klopp’s seven changes. They looked defensively vulnerable again and could have lost the game (against Burnley) when Ben Mee went agonisingly close in the dying stages.
“Other than Liverpool’s reputation, I really don’t see this as an upset, especially as I’m inclined to think they will make another six or seven changes, with Ben Woodburn and the other young guys coming in,” he said.
