The intense competition that surrounds the English Premier League comes with pressure for the head coach or manager of any football club to keep the winning streak or pay the price with their jobs.
This season has witnessed a tremendous wave of sacking managers in an attempt to stabilise the dressing room and appease the angry fans after poor performances.
In this article, Sporting Tribune compiles the list of key sacked managers this season.

Thomas Frank (Tottenham Hotspur):
Sacked on February 11, 2026, after a 2-1 loss to Newcastle, leaving the team 16th.
Enzo Maresca (Chelsea):
One would think winning the Club World Cup would save Enzo Maresca, but he was eventually shown the exit door on 1st of January 2026.
Ruben Amorim (Manchester United):
Amorim’s stay at Old Trafford lasted just 14 months. He was dismissed following a power struggle over transfer policy and a drop to 6th place in January.
Vítor Pereira (Wolves):
Pereira was shown the door with Wolves sitting dead last after losing eight of their first ten league games.
Ange Postecoglou (Nottingham Forest):
In a chaotic turn of events, Forest sacked their second manager of the season when “Big Ange” failed to win any of his eight matches in charge.
Graham Potter (West Ham United):
Potter’s tenure at the London Stadium was short-lived. He was dismissed following a dismal start that left the Hammers near the bottom of the table. (Interestingly, he was replaced by Nuno Espírito Santo).
Nuno Espírito Santo (Nottingham Forest):
Despite leading them to a European spot the year before, Nuno was the first to go after a public fallout with the club’s owner.
Sean Dyche (Nottingham Forest):
Sacking Sean Dyche takes Nottingham Forest to the record of using the third manager in a single season. The decision comes after the 0-0 draw with Wolves; Dyche lasted just 114 days in the role.
