Nigeria’s Pillar of Sports, Chief Donatus Agu Ejidike has congratulated the Nigeria Football Federation on the victory of NFF president, Mr Amaju Pinnick in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) elections.
Pinnick, it will be recalled, last Thursday defeated Moucharafou Anjonrin of Benin Republic by 32 votes to 17 at the 39th Ordinary General Assembly of CAF held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to win the Zone Three seat into the CAF executive committee.
Ejidike in a statement described Pinnick’s victory as a deserving one for Nigeria, adding that it is a development that would enhance the growth of football in the country.
He noted that Nigeria is now on the right pedestal as policies affecting African football can be contributed to by Nigeria.
Ejidike, who is also the president of Karate Federation of Nigeria (KFN) called on all stakeholders to rally support for Pinnick even as he noted that Nigeria deserve to head the continental soccer body.
