El Sharaawy unhurt in car accident

AS Roma forward Stephan El Sharaawy has escaped without injury after being involved in a car accident overnight.

Upon leaving the club’s training facilities at Trigoria after a 3-1 defeat against Torino, Sharaawy’s Audi 3 had crashed into a Fiat Panda which resulted in that driver coming away with severe whiplash and was taken to hospital according to Corriero Dello Sera.

Both cars sustained severe damage, but the 23-year-old attacker did not require medical attention.

The Italian forward has a history of injuries throughout his short career. However, he was able to return home and should be fit to play.
