Former Nigeria international Andrew Uwe has added another feather to his coaching cap following his qualification as a holder of the prestigious German Football Association coaching licence (DFB Elite Licence).
Uwe, captain of the national U20 team, the Flying Eagles set of 1985, also possesses the UEFA B licence, the German C and B licences.
In an interaction with Tribunesport, Uwe, a member of the silver-winning Green Eagles team to the 1988 African Cup of Nations in Morocco, said he was ready for the big stage.

“I can now coach national teams in Africa or Central America. My prospects and plan are looking forward to coaching our Super Eagles team, with my coaching experience in America and Germany,” Uwe said in a message he sent to Tribunesport from his base in Germany early this week.
At club level, Uwe says he is now qualified to handle a wide spectrum of clubs across global football leagues.
“With the America licence, I can coach MLS and German men’s team and all youth teams in the Bundesliga and Regionnaliga teams from U14 to U23 and so on,” Uwe added.
The former Leventis United of Ibadan defender is in his tenth year with the German Regionnaliga side JFV Nordwest, but says he “looks forward to a new challenge. Just something new.”
