Ex- Nasarawa deputy gov, Agara, appointed NLO chairman

The former deputy governor of Nasarawa State, Mr. Silas Ali Agara, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO) by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF).

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Nasarawa State Chapter, in a statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Isa Muhammed and Secretary, Smah George, and made available to Journalists in Lafia described Agara as a true pillar of sports in the state, given his impressive track record and profound understanding of grassroots sports.

“His appointment came as no surprise, considering his unwavering dedication to the development of sports at the grassroots level,” Nasarawa SWAN said.

With this new responsibility, the Association earnestly prayed to God Almighty to grant Agara the necessary enablement to revolutionise the sporting industry, particularly at the grassroots level,

The SWAN state chapter noted that no nation could truly prosper in sports without providing adequate attention to grassroots football development.

They expressed full confidence in Agara’s ability to bring about positive change in this regard.
