Out-of-favour Super Eagles’ goalkeeper, Bamidele Aiyenugba, has once again reiterated his interest in making a return to the senior national team, AOIFootball.com can report.
The former Bnei Yehuda of Israel shot-stopper, who is 34, believes his experience and confidence will help stabilise the defence of the Eagles, whilst stating that he has learnt a lot over the years.
“Yes I am still longing to wear the national team’s jersey and it’s for the desire to serve my country. With my experience, and what I have learnt over the years, I think I can add so much in the goalkeeping department; all I crave for is a chance,” the former Enyimba goalie posited.
Currently with Hapoel Ashkelon in Israel, Aiyenugba, who is fondly called “The Black Cat or Panther”, is known for his famous penalty saves.
